Spring Performance: June 3rd at the Shea Theater
Awesome Art in Motion now has 12 members ranging in ages from five to eleven! This spring we’re very excited to be putting together a full-length show of kid-created dances to share. What’s in the line up? A stunning new solo by Bellasky Picone-Louro, The story-dance of Stella Luna the bat, and a group piece set to David Bowie’s “Life on Mars” choreographed and directed by long-time Awesome Art in Motion veteran Sofia Pawel to name a few! June 2nd, 2pm at the Shea Theater. Hope to see you there!

The Brick House Community Resource Center
The studio I’ve come to call my dancing home over the past nine years is a part of a much bigger project here in Turners Falls: The Brick House Community Resource Center. In addition to their function as a vibrant community center through the space rental program, The Brick House also offers extensive Youth Programming for teens ages 11-18 to explore the arts and social justice, as well as providing Parent and Family Services which help families access basic needs.

The Brick House community space rental program has not only provided us with a beautiful place to dance for 9 years, it has also made it possible for Great Falls Creative Movement to offer a sliding scale admissions fee for all of our classes and programs. As a beneficiary AND supporter of The Brick House, I am excited to find more ways Great Falls Creative Movement can contribute to and overlap with the larger Brick House Community. Whether your kids have taken classes in The Movement Studio, come to dance parties, performances or summer camps, YOU are a part of the Brick House Community! Let’s make those connections stronger by learning, contributing and participating in the coming year.

Stay tuned for local community events such as youth art shows, open mic events, free community meals, and more!
