5th/6th graders at The Village School during the 2016 STARS Residency

Elementary School Residencies

This January Great Falls Creative Movement will be running two week-long elementary school residencies through the STARS residencies program of the Massachusetts Cultural Council.  “Simple Machines; An Exploration in Movement” will happen in the first grade classrooms at Hillcrest Elementary School in Turners Falls supporting their study of how machines work. The second residency will be at the Village School in Royalston MA, where we will be returning for the second year in a row to continue to work with students from pre-K through sixth grade and their classroom teachers on ways to bring movement into all aspects of the classroom year-round. Both residencies will end with school-wide demonstrations and, of course, a dance party!
